IRCA CasAbierta

Project Description 

​

IRCA CasAbierta, the Institute for Migration and LGBTIQ Refugees in Central America, is a non-governmental, non-profit organization based in Costa Rica. Its mission is to claim, promote and defend human rights, especially through mediation of legal protection and access to justice. Their methodology is based on the 'Trilogy of Development', in which a combination of actions are united, encompassing the promotion of health, education and labor.

Furthermore, IRCA CasAbierta is very active in political advocacy, research, training and comprehensive psychosocial support, all aimed at improving the quality of life and development opportunities of LGBTIQ populations forced to migration and seeking refuge in a safe place in Central America.
